Perth, United Kingdom Vets for Pets Full time

Perth CCA

Due to client growth, we are looking to recruit a part-time, Client Care Advisor (CCA)

As a CCA your main role would include greeting clients and their companions in a friendly manner, booking routine appointments and procedures, answering telephone calls and liaising with the clinical team to complete the client care journey. Experience is not essential, as full training will be given.

We have a wonderful, friendly, longstanding team at Vets4Pets Perth and warmly welcome any new members to our veterinary family. As a team, we support each other, and endeavour to create a happy, constructive and supportive working environment focusing on the importance of a good work life balance and mental health support. The team are all passionate, dedicated veterinary professionals who pride themselves on offering high standards of care while identifying areas to further improve. Currently, we are working towards becoming an RCVS accredited, ISFM cat friendly and RWAF rabbit friendly practice.

Our team consists of one Vet/Practice Partner with over thirty four years’ experience, who is happy to mentor and pass on their knowledge in a supportive and constructive way. You will also be supported by an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) / Practice Partner, two FT RVN’s, one PT Veterinary Care Assistant, two CCA’s and a supportive Practice Manager. We are also currently recruiting for another FT Vet to join our team. In addition, we have a great relationship with our Area Regional Manager (ARM) who is always on hand for extra support and advice.

Following a fire in 2019, we re-built our new practice in March 2021 and are based on St Catherine’s Retail Park in the centre of Perth. Perth is a lovely city, surrounded by fantastic scenery and steeped in rich history, with easy access to buses, train stations and motorway. Located half an hour from Dundee, just over an hour from Edinburgh and little over two hours from the Cairngorms, means it is the perfect location for exploring Scotland on your days off. Our great location also means we benefit from a good variety of cases, including some interesting exotics (including Meerkats & Coatimundi’s) and a wonderful loyal client base.

We are lucky to be working in a Joint Venture Partner (JVP) run practice, built to modern industry leading standards which is well equipped with all the essentials including a brand-new Multi-parameter, Digital X-ray, Blood analysers, Ultrasound, Drip pump, designated theatre and separate cat, dog and isolation wards.

This position is on a part-time basis and will mainly be based around weekend working only. The hours for this role would be Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 10-4. The remaining 7 hours would vary between a Monday and a Friday, however, this can be discussed at the interview stage. Part time hours would include a 3 day week with a half an hour for lunch (one hour booked out on the diary to protect that lunch time) this equates to approximately 20 hours a week, with the potential for over time. There are no OOH, with Vets Now Dundee, covering all our OOH emergencies.

By joining us you will be part of a dynamic team, whose main clinical focus is on preventive health, and we pride ourselves on our excellent client care and pet welfare standards, so it is essential that you have the same values and high standards as our current team. This position would be ideal for nurse who thrives on being part of a supportive team, building rapport with our loyal client base and providing a high level of clinical care for our patients. You must have a good communication style and be confident in client facing consults.

We offer a supportive and friendly working environment with excellent career development opportunities and a benefits package.
