Trainee Welder

**No previous experience necessary as training will be provided.**

Due to a large increase in workload, we are currently looking for Trainee Welders to join our busy engineering team, this is an excellent opportunity to learn a new trade. DC Norris is a long established and respected engineering and manufacturing company specialising in the manufacture in industrial food processing equipment.

You must be able to work within a team, either in the main production area or if applicable on a client’s site and be aware of all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.

**Basic Function**
- As a trainee welder you will be given training in all aspects of both Mig, Tig welding and fabricating to a very high standard.
- You will also be manufacturing components used to produce stainless steel food processing equipment.
- Previous experience is not essential, but a keen interest in learning, a willingness to work hard and to go the extra mile would be an advantage.

You would be contracted to work 39-hour Monday - Friday with a 10-minute tea break 10.00am - 10.00am and ½ hour lunchbreak 1.00pm - 1.30pm.

Hours are 7.30 to 4, 4:30 and 5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 12pm finish unless working overtime.

Overtime is generally available and paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Your rate is to be negotiated depending on experience.
