The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of technical excellence in Complex Injury Claims by undertaking technical audits and providing constructive feedback and mentoring to the file handling teams, identifying trends and training needs and supporting the technical development of our Complex Injury Lawyers.
The auditor will do that by undertaking audits within the unit in order to:

- Assess file handling performance against, and in line with, internal technical standards.
- Identifying recommended actions for the current file handling team and delivering constructive feedback to the teams to develop their technical skills.
- Assist in bespoke file audits upon request of the unit Technical Directors and/or Business Unit Directors
- Giving feeding arising from client contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA) audits (undertaken by others)
- Identify and assess areas of financial leakage or other risks for the business
- Identify and communicate (orally and in written report format) clear and constructive feedback and recommendations for remedial actions arising from your audit
- Prepare timely (oral and written) reports to Technical Director/Operations Director on the audit findings of individual, teams and unit performance along with recommendations within a clear and appropriate action plan to enhance the technical ability of the team and/or remedial action required
- Contribute to the continual development and improvement of CIC’s technical performance levels by
- Identifying common trends within audit findings
- Recommending and where appropriate contributing to training and upskilling to CIC
- Providing constructive feedback and mentoring to individuals or teams
- Identifying quality issues and providing technical input into the incident reporting process

Working Hours
17.5 hours per week, flexible working pattern available.
Primary location for this role is flexible but monthly in person reports required in Bolton/Manchester.

**Experience, Skills and Qualifications**
- Recruitment Criteria:

- Has an understanding of complex and catastrophic injury claims
- Has an understanding of motor and EL/PL claims
- Has experience of running a complex and catastrophic injury caseload
- Clear and effective communicator
- Ability of report writing
- Ability to work under pressure and to target
- Ability to self-organise and self-prioritise
- Ability to maintain concentration and pay attention to detail
- Ability to remain clam under pressure
- Ability to remain fair and objective at all times
- Good level of IT skills
Required Soft Skills:
In order to support the delivery of technical excellence in CIC the ability to provide constructive feedback and engage in effective communication with sensitivity is absolutely key.
