**Junior IT Apprentice**

**Harlow, CM20**
**37 hours per week (Mon-Fri normal office hours)**
**£18,000 per annum**

Our client is looking for a school/college leaver who is passionate about starting a career in IT on an apprenticeship starting immediately.

**Job overview**:
You will be working as part of a small team, helping to maintain and grow the business infrastructure as they look to expand and digitise existing processes and embrace cloud technologies. This will be a varied role and you will be involved in everythingfrom managing day to day tasks such as overnight backups and supporting their users with their IT use, to helping move the existing ERP system and Microsoft Office suite to cloud based alternatives. There will also be the opportunity to get involved with recentlylaunched e-commerce site, working with the Sales & Marketing teams to grow and improve the customer experience.

**Your duties and responsibilities in this role will include**:

- Ensuring the overnight backups run and backup all required information.
- Checking scheduled jobs have run on our Windows & IBM iSeries servers.
- Monitoring EDI orders / invoices and resolving errors with our sales team.
- Monitoring Sophos Anti-virus & firewall for issues / helping to resolve security issues.
- Supporting our users both local and remote in their use of Windows, Microsoft Office and our Enterprise Requirements Planning & Warehouse Management System.
- Maintaining / upgrading our PCs & installing upgrades and replacement components when required.
- Maintaining / installing the software on our PCs e.g. Windows, Office etc.
- Creating / maintaining Active Directory user profiles and user accounts on our other systems, then setting up the relevant user profile on their PC / mobile devices.
- Maintaining our various Windows servers both physical & virtual.

**Qualifications required**:

- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

You will need to be organised, reliable, have good time-keeping and attention to detail and above all have a keen interest in computers / I.T. with a desire to learn more.
