Business Unit and Position Summary:
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Serves as a direct customer contact for order processing and acts as the primary liaison between customers, distributors, subsidiaries and field sales force for fulfilling customer requirements.
- Processes customer orders in a timely and accurate manner including clarification and computerized order entry.
- Initiates and plans technical review meetings prior to order processing, when necessary, for clarification and communication of special order requirements.
- Reviews and validates quoted delivery with appropriate Production personnel prior to order entry. Prepares written response to customer if delivery situation has changed.
- Implements all change orders, order cancellations and maintains existing sales orders. Assists Business Managers in approving changes to orders. Acknowledges processing of order changes to customer.
- Supplies information to customers concerning pricing, delivery, technical inquiries, shipment details, etc.
- Assists Regional Sales Director in following up on open invoices.
- Assists Account Managers/Sales Engineers to create annual contracts pricing.
- Accepts and investigates customer requests for returned goods and verifies consistency with established policy. Processes RGA’s (returned goods acceptance) for departmental approval and assists in determining the resolution of the RGA’s.
- Investigates and verifies accuracy of all debit and credit adjustments to customer accounts.
- Expedites orders and provides order status information to all customers including:

- Proactively advising customers of re-schedules or delays affecting promised ship date.
- Investigates alternative sources for supply of material, alternate solutions to meet customer's delivery expectations.
- Provides project progress reports, when required.
- Analyzes project wins and losses.
- Coordinates source inspection visits with Q.A. department, when required by customer.
- Assists specific foreign subsidiary locations, by providing all aspects of customer service, i.e., order entry, delivery information, requests to return material, expediting orders, order changes, Q.A. documentation, etc.
- Generates quotes, consulting with Sales and Product Line Managers, and follows-up on the quotes.
- Assists Business Managers in the execution of business models.
- Assists Regional Sales Managers with tactical day-to-day MRO pricing.
- Assists Sales Managers in account management (local, regional and global).
- Assists Account Managers/Sales Engineers in providing pre-sale and post-sale technical support.
- Assists Marketing Manager in qualifying and dispersing leads.
- Provides assistance in developing annual ChemPharma operating plan.
- Participates actively in the OpEx and Quality processes including project team involvement, problem solving, and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Project management of major customer orders (in due course)

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- Honours degree in business management (or similar, e.g. marketing, sales)
- Degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent PC skills (MSO)
- Excellent interpersonal/telephone skills.
- Detail oriented, able to maintain accuracy under pressure
