We’re looking to appoint a Head of Health & Safety for the C&C Group, based in the UK with regular travel to our sites across the UK & Ireland. Ideally the incumbent will be based locally to a C&C Group site

The Head of Health & Safety will provide professional leadership to the Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Teams across the C&C Group whilst driving a culture of safety first throughout the organisation and minimising business risk.

**About the role**

Reporting into the Group General Counsel & Company Secretary, you’ll devise and deliver a H&S strategy for implementation across the C&C Group (circa 3,000 employees). You’ll utilise your experience and passion to foster a change culture towards a safety first approach.

You’ll provide thought leadership to stakeholders throughout the business and lead the creation of a culture where H&S is embedded and integral to all activities, making safety a key drivers of behaviours and supporting the health and well being of our colleagues.

You’ll achieve this by creating a robust H&S strategy that anticipates challenges and opportunities with the integration to the wider corporate strategy. You’ll develop Group standards and communicate these to all UK & Ireland sites to generate buy-in from all colleagues in the business. By developing KPI metrics and Group reporting capabilities, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to drive accountability.

**About you**

You’ll have proven experience of leading a Health & Safety function within the Manufacturing and/or Logistics industries, ideally in a business with a matrix reporting line.

As a chartered member of IOSH (CMIOSH) with a comprehensive knowledge of current UK&I H&S legislation, you’ll also have experience of reaching externally audited management standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.

We are looking for a change agent who can generate ideas and drive behavioural change through inspirational leadership and instilling accountability. You’ll need be able to demonstrate similar achievements during your career.
