The role is part of **Kidde**, which is a part of Carrier Fire & Security Products business unit. Kidde provides fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide protection worldwide. As **Production Operative**, your day-to-day activities as part of a team will be within the suppression department producing high quality/ precision fire protection equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Production Operative, you’ll be responsible for:

- Production - Assembly and pressure test of suppression components.
- Fill line - The assembly and filling of chemical agent cylinders.
- Stores - Locating inventory and picking of customer orders.
- Packing - Packing of suppression cylinders and ancillaries for relevant road, sea, or air freight requirements.

You may be required to change your work area throughout the department to cover annual leave.

**Requirements**:
We are looking for people who are conscientious and able to work with minimum supervision once fully trained. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must:

- Be willing to work any of the shift patterns which may be necessary to maintain production in accordance with the current union agreement. Please note that this job may involve some lifting.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

- Previous production experience
- FLT licence
- Ideally have knowledge of EH&S rules and procedures and understand your role within these requirements. Online training will be provided to assist with your EH&S knowledge and understanding.

PPE will be provided by the company.
