**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

As the Sport Global group continues to grow, we have a need to make better use of information technology to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency across the business, and are creating a new role to take the lead on implementing systems and processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be Cloud native, solutions orientated and someone who thrives on being accountable and rolling their sleeves up to deliver the best outcomes.

We are a nimble organisation with hybrid working at our offices in London and Manchaster, and a significant overseas team working entirely remotely. As such we work primarily in cloud-based SaaS platforms, including Google Workspace as our primary business productivity tool, HubSpot, Asana, Xero, BambooHR, PandaDoc, Zapier, 1Password and many other tools used by specific teams. The primary focus of the role is therefore on developing and implementing workflows within and across these SaaS platforms.

Sport Global group also has our own in-house software development team, based in Poland, that develop bespoke software solutions to support our business such as the SBC Connect app used by attendees at our events, as well developing and maintaining the many Wordpress websites used by our media business. The Information Systems Lead will have a dotted reporting line into the company’s Chief Technology Officer, who oversees the software development team, providing a significant resource to assist with more complicated technical issues when they arise. This also provides a direct line into our software development team to facilitate integrating with our own software systems when appropriate, or to get custom development if needed to meet a specific business need.

With overall responsibility for our information systems, the role will also be responsible for administering the various information systems, and implementing information security across the systems used by our teams. While our in house technical support needs are mínimal, you will have responsibility for ensuring that our staff have adequate support and that our hardware estate (laptops, office network) is maintained and up to date (which may involve overseeing outsourced providers, or supporting HR team and employees in serving themselves, rather than directly maintaining and refreshing laptops).
