We are seeking to recruit an experienced support worker to join our existing team. George Williams House is an self-contained accommodation unit for 15 households. The role of Support Worker is an inspirational one and key to achieving outcomes for vulnerable clients. As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker you will be responsible for working closely with our young people and families, developing and delivering a programme of high-quality support which promotes clients’ choice and control.

Our aim is to support young people and families by providing a settled period of accommodation during which time staff can help them to develop their capacity, self-esteem and life skills to enable them to live independently in the community.
- Knowledge of the benefits system and an understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements
- Be committed to supporting the service to become Ofsted registered by October 2023.
- Legislation relating to Health & Safety and safeguarding of clients and staff
- Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients
- A positive attitude and a high level of motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.
- The ability to work in a busy environment, be solutions focused, show good time management skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office.
