Job description

**Job Title**: Casual Catering Assistant

**Section**: Margam Country Park

**Contract Type**: Casual

**Hours**: Monday to Sunday (days and times may vary due to service needs)

**Location of post**: Margam Country Park SA13 2TJ

We are currently looking for a Catering assistant to join our team on a casual rota basis.

**The main duties of the post;**

Responsible for the organisation and supervision of staff to provide a quality service to customers.

Setting up of servery counter, service of food, also ensuring good food presentation.

Correct operation of Cash tills, preparation of daily cash reconciliation and safe keeping of cash.

Washing up of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils, ensuring good Health and Safety practices. Cleaning of tables and floors in the café and outside café eating area.

**You will have experience in/of;**

Working in a catering environment and being able to work as part of a small team.

**Ideally you will have;**

Knowledge of food hygiene, Natasha’s Law and safe working practices. Experience of use of hospitality equipment, such as tills, PDQ machines and Experience of handling large sums of cash from tills.

Applicants are required to have minimum Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.
