Accounts Assistant - 6 Month FTC - Moreton In Marsh

Looking to recruit a full time accounts assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract to support with maternity cover.**
**Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our small team of professionals as an Accounts Assistant, posting accurate and timely sales and purchase ledger transactions, reconciled to external systems. You will have the following routines and responsibilities inthis role:
**- Manage and maintain data entry of supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner, including reconciliation of supplier invoices with external weighbridge system, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Maintain Purchase Order and authorisation systems for the necessary approval of invoices
- Prepare and submit customer invoices, including intercompany recharges
- Weekly/Monthly reporting of data from our weighbridge system
- Assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs
- Liaise with Management Accountant re: cashflows
- Supplier and customer ledger maintenance - setting up, allocation etc
- Complete new supplier forms and assist with the setting up of Credit Accounts
- Carry out bank reconciliations
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment and chasing due debts where necessary
- Manage purchase and sales invoice queries in a professional manner
- Process staff expenses
- Day to day administration duties
- Ad hoc tasks as required by the Management Accountant
- Other ad-hoc work as required within the Finance Department

***What you'll need to succeed
Requirements - Essential
**- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.

**Requirements - Preferred
**- Extensive experience of posting inter-company group sales and purchase ledger transactions.
- Experience in the energy generation sector would be an advantage
- **Knowledge of Xero accounting system**
