Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner supporting children and young people of primary and secondary age. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for young minds helping them to reengage with education.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and coordinate mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support staff to develop and implement preventative intervention programs to enhance overall wellbeing of children and young people within the service.
- Provide support to practitioners on planning and delivering effective interventions.
- Conduct one-to-one outreach sessions with children and young people, addressing their specific needs and goals.
- Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to help them overcome challenges and develop life skills.
- Develop and implement individualised plans to assist each child in achieving their goals.
- Build positive relationships with the children and their families or caregivers.
- Monitor and document progress, ensuring that outcomes are met and reported as necessary.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in supporting children and young people with SEND / Mental Health

**Qualifications**:

- A passion for working with children and young people.
- Experience of working in mental health, education, youth work, social work, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Qualifications relevant to the role (minimum Level 3)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental approach.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people in today's world.
- A commitment to promoting positive change and brighter futures for our participants.
