**Hours and Shifts Available**:
Saturday 08.00 to Sunday 08.00 (sleep-in between midnight and 08.00)
Sunday 08.00 to Monday 08.00 (sleep-in between midnight and 08.00)
**Person Specification**:
Are you caring person with a 'can-do' attitude and a good sense of humour? Reliable and willing to learn new things? If so, this might be the job for you Oh, it is _essential _that you also like dogs.
**About the role**
Miss R is very sociable, friendly and independent lady who directs her own team of support staff. She is very energetic and likes to keep active and busy.
Miss R lives in her own home which is very well maintained, and she has her own wheelchair accessible vehicle, which applicants must be able to drive (people carrier size).
Miss R has cerebral palsy and uses her electric wheelchair at home and outside. She needs support with personal care, preparing food, and to care for her adorable pet dog. She also needs support to maintain her home environment.
**The Roles and Responsibilities of the job**:
Key roles and responsibilities within this position include:
- Being able to provide companionship and a light-hearted approach enabling Miss R to have fun and laugh with you
- Be happy to support Miss R to care for her dog including walking and feeding.
- To offer assistance with personal care including washing, dressing, skin, teeth, nail and hair care, under the direction of Miss R.
- Be able to assist with her mobility, including assisting her to transfer using hoisting/stand aid equipment - all training will be provided. This includes the use of a hot tub.
- To assist with household management as directed by Miss R, includes daily laundry, meal planning, shopping and meal preparation as requested by Miss R.
- Be able to follow a therapy regime. There is a programme of. exercises that the support team need to help her with; this includes hydrotherapy sessions and home-based physiotherapy exercises.
- Having imagination to promote purposeful, structured time both at home and in the community as well as supporting with her leisure and social activities.
- Confident in driving Miss R in her own vehicle and providing some support with mobility needs within the home.
- Providing assistance at night if needed (rarely required).
- Opportunity to accompanying Miss R on weekends away and holidays, although this is not essential.
- Organised and confident to be able to accompanying Miss R to medical or other appointments as requested.

- £11.00 per hour - for weekdays
- £12.50 per hour for weekends
- £66.06 sleeper duty weekday nights (between 11.00pm and 8.00am)
- £58.72 sleeper duty weekend nights (between Midnight and 8.00am)
- 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum
- Sick Pay (or statutory sick pay)
- Pay and milage to attend supervision and training

**The Work Environment**
This is within the client’s own home. The client also has a small friendly dog.
