School Minibus Driver

We need a special someone to join our Out of School Care team collecting up to 14 children in our minibus or 7 seater cars from local schools, and taking them safely to their out-of-school club The out of school club is in Kelso with plenty of parking.

**DRIVER ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Transport young children from school to our out of school club
- To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the out of school club
- To quickly establish positive and professional relationship with the children (they love music), their carers / parents, and the key people at the schools they attend.
- To keep the vehicle in a roadworthy, clean, and tidy manner always.
- To make yourself available in the afternoon on all school days.

**DRIVER REQUIREMENTS**
- Hold a valid UK driving licence (class D1).
- Be able to drive a company supplied vehicle which includes an electric 7 seater car, a 14 seater minibus and another 7 seater car. Previous experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- Pass an enhanced criminal record check (PVG check which we will pay for) as you will be working with children.
- To manage (unlikely) breakdowns or delays and ensure the safety of passengers at all times

The hours would be 3.15 - 4.15 Mon - Thur and 12.15 - 1.15 on Friday all during school term times. Additional hours would be available on children outings if required.
- £11.00 per hour
- 28 days fully paid annual leave pro rata
