Housekeeper/cleaner Wanted for Country House

We are currently looking to recruit a housekeeper for a country house in Gloucestershire which includes a main house, various guest cottages and ancillary property.

An experienced individual is required to work alongside the existing staff and contractors.

Daily housekeeping tasks include (but not limited to):

- Keeping the principal house and guest accommodation clean and tidy always.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary
- Sweep, mop, and polish floors using the appropriate cleaning supplies, including delicate and natural materials needing specific care.
- Regular cleaning of ovens and fridges.
- Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard to reach places, including antiques.
- Empty rubbish and recycling into the appropriate waste bins and ensure that bins are kept clean and free of smell
- Wash windows, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are free of streaks
- Clean and disinfect all appropriate areas and ensure that soap and toilet paper etc. are well-stocked
- Change bed linen, launder and iron delicate bed linen regularly, remake beds.
- Take inventory of cleaning supplies and materials and report to Manager what is needed
- Inform Manager of anything that is broken or not functioning correctly so that the issue is resolved promptly
- Such other duties as may be required
- Inventory and restocking of kitchen and pantry supplies. Checking sell by dates and storing and displaying cohesively
- Set up house in advance of family’s arrival including purchase and placement of fresh flowers and candles.
- Storage Organisation including wardrobes and cupboards throughout the property.

Accommodation is not offered with this role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
