Butcher

An excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Butcher to join one of the market leaders in the food industry.

THE BUTCHER
- Breaking down carcasses into primary and secondary cuts
- Processing meat using knives, cleavers, saws, and other equipment
- Preparing cuts for weighing, packing, and sale or further processing
- Displaying cuts at the meat counter and selling cuts to the general public
- Ensuring work areas are clean and compliant with all food safety and hygiene standards
- Reporting in a direct line to the Head Butcher, the role encompasses all facets of butchery.
- You will be engaging, smart and able to converse with and advise customers where necessary.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience of working at a similar level and have good butchery/ knife skills
- Can work unsupervised
- Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment
- Hands on approach
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communicator
- Commercial awareness
- Self motivated with a proactive approach
- Reliable, tolerant and determined to get the right result
- Approachable
