Practice Educator

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with significant experience within community nurses and a passion for education. The post holder will have the responsibility for engagement with and clinical contact/support pre-registration student nurses, trainee nursing associate/registered nurse apprentices and newly qualified nursing associates/registered nurses in their preceptorship and advanced preceptorship period. This will involve developing and supporting the implementation of a refreshed and responsive clinically based portfolio of education, support network and holistic pastoral framework.
The BDCFT virtual Centre for education and professional development houses a number of key roles that support the organisation to both deliver and support education to key groups of learners and staff groups. These roles are creative and innovative to provide quality assurance to both internal and external stakeholders of its gold standard portfolio of learning environments and training packages.
The post holder will have the responsibility for engagement with and clinical contact/support for T Level learners, pre-registration student nurses, trainee nursing associate/registered nurse apprentices and newly qualified nursing associates/registered nurses in their preceptorship and advanced preceptorship period. This will involve developing and supporting the implementation of a refreshed and responsive clinically based portfolio of education, support network and holistic pastoral framework.
This role will develop and facilitate a tailored, blended programme of face to face, online learning and clinical skills teaching for defined groups of learners which is evidenced based and with measured impact. The post holder will ensure flexibility to meet the bespoke needs of each individual but also realise the benefit of joint learning opportunities.
The post holder will undertake any additional projects as required in relation to the portfolio of the LEND Team/ BDCFT Virtual Centre for clinical education and professional development.
