Recycling Operative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recycling Operative to join our Warehouse team based at Coveris UK’s Tenens Way site in Boston working a day shift.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Responsible for the identification, categorisation and separation of waste materials
- To safely prepare those materials identified for recycling or re-use purposes
- To operate the machinery required safely, competently and efficiently
- Responsibility for producing quality finished products within reasonable timescales
- Responsibility to work safely in the environment of potentially dangerous working machinery such as; bailing machines, core cutters and forklifts
- Responsibility for updating documentation and records relating to the recycling process
- Responsibility for the Recycling Warehouse area
- General housekeeping, maintenance of machines and internal building audits
- Responsibility for the provision of pre-cut cores to nominated Coveris production sites. This includes the re-use and re-cutting of supplier cores to supplement supply
- Responsibility for giving accurate information to determine workload and timescales and making senior members aware of any change
- To respond professionally and efficiently to any contact with customers
- To approve before offering sensitive information to external sources
- To communicate fully with regard to external logistics and transport requirements
- To communicate and ensure an efficient, good working, relationship with our suppliers
- To understand the importance and relevance of what you are doing and what this has on cost saving
- To communicate with other departments and suppliers more freely and encourage better information flow

**Key Requirements**
- Ability to communicate with all personnel within the Recycling Department
- Ability to adapt between manual and administrative duties when required
- Ability to motivate other personnel within the department
- Ability to work to timescales in a production environment
- Good organisational skills
