**What role you will play in our team?**:
ExxonMobil geoscientists are deployed across the Upstream, Low Carbon Solutions and Technology & Engineering companies to support the Corporation's goal of providing global energy solutions and leading the industry to achieve net zero. A geoscientist can expect to have a career working a wide range of assignments in traditional oil and gas exploration, production, and research as well as assignments supporting the Energy Transition, including carbon capture and storage as well as providing hydrogen-based solutions.

Geoscientists in Exploration or Energy Transition roles are required to work at the basin, play, prospect, or field scale, focusing on evaluating and assessing the commerciality of existing or new opportunities. They are expected to deliver accurate subsurface descriptions and communicate key risks and uncertainties supporting business investment decisions. Exploration geoscientists integrate and interpret geological and geophysical data to support opportunity identification and capture, and prospect generation and maturation. Typical datasets for integration include seismic, well logs, fluids, and core; and leverage advanced mapping, interpretation, modeling, and other techniques. The role also requires collaboration with engineering colleagues on reservoir characterization, well planning, and drilling execution, as well as with commercial experts undertaking economic evaluations or negotiations. In addition, we have roles for exploration geoscientists with quantitative interpretation, well operations/wellsite investigation skills, and geologic modeling.
