Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre is an award-winning family run garden centre that serves as a destination for the local community in the heart of Somerset. We bring our passion for plants and gardening into your indoor and outdoor living spaces in a shopping environment centred on customer service and family values. We are proud to be home to our award-winning Elm Tree restaurant, our Pondside Café and in addition our newly opened farmshop.

As we head into a very busy time of year, we are recruiting for a team of Elves to support our in store events specifically ‘Afternoon Tea with Santa’ in The Elm Tree Restaurant.

**Role Purpose**

This role is primarily based in The Elm Tree Restaurant and reports to the Food & Beverage Manager. As an Elf, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a magical experience for our customers for our instore events. You will take on the role of an ‘Elf’ and act in this position to keep the magic alive across our site.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Work with a team of elves and Mr & Mrs Claus to deliver a magical experience
- Meet and greet customers for each ‘Afternoon with Santa’ event
- Offer a positive customer experience through being approachable and friendly to all customers including entertaining any children that attend

**Experience required**
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication skills with the ability to work well with a team
- Previous experience in theatrical environments/working with children (desirable not essential)
- Experience working in hospitality or retail

**Other**
- Support all departments within Monkton Elm when required during peak trade or periods of absence to ensure the customer experience is always positive.
- Elf costumes provided
**- Shift times: 2.30pm-5.30pm, 1st, 8th, 12th, 15th, 20th and 22nd December**
