**About The Role**:
Location: Sidcup, DA14
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
**Salary**: £27,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience
The purpose of the role of the Payroll Administrator is to manage the administration, preparation and processing of the monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures as well as providing support to the Payroll Manager/Deputy Payroll Manager.
The position requires a professional, well-informed and consistent approach to both internal and external contacts and undertakings, and thereby upholding the professional image and exceptional standards of the Payroll Function and wider company.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Assisting with the monthly payroll processing and relevant checks.
- P45 processing.
- Processing sickness in accordance to contractual obligations.
- SMP/SPP/SAP/ShPP.
- Knowledge of Auto Enrolment.
- Processing Court Orders.
- Maintaining employee records on the payroll and time and attendance systems.
- Liaising with Regional / Area Managers (Operations).
- Liaising with the Finance staff in relation to month and year end.
- Dealing with Employee queries.
- To assist with general office duties including filing, telephone calls and dealing with incoming mail.
- Ad hoc duties and projects as required by Line Manager.
**Experience required**
- Experience working in a similar position, for at least 2 years
- Computer literate to an intermediate standard (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Good understanding of Payroll legislation
- Demonstrable time management and organisational skills
- Professional and positive approach
- Flexible and proactive
- Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative (self-motivated where necessary)
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
