**Job purpose**:
We currently have an opportunity for a Fabrication Operative to join our Production Team at Biscor Ltd based in Heywood. We are a manufacturer of PTFE conveyor belts, filtration materials and tapes.
This role is for a motivated individual who will learn all aspects of manufacturing conveyor belts including cutting by hand and operating machinery such as inspection frames, coating towers, sewing machines, hot presses, slitting machinery and lifting equipment.
Previous experience would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.

**Responsibilities**:

- The correct PPE (safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, glasses and hi-visibility clothing) for the task being performed must always be worn in our production facility,
- Precise measurements to tight tolerances including final inspection of work,
- Operating coating machines,
- Cutting and attention to details,
- Manufacturing belts and fabricated products,
- Manufacturing to customer specification and company quality standards,
- Following all our H&S Standards,
- Good communication skills,
- Operating industrial machinery,
- Operating light machinery (use of grinders / hot irons),
- Preparation of assembly materials,
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping,
- Manual Handling and processing of large fabric rolls,
- Flexible attitude to working hours.
