Physiotherapy Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Older Peoples’ Community Physiotherapy Service in Rotherham. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest of working with older people with mental health conditions. You will be an integral member of the Community Mental Health Team, comprising allied health professionals, medical staff, community nurses and support workers.

The post will entail assisting with patient's mobility and supervision of exercise programmes, group exercises, and passive movements. You will work with patients in a variety of community settings.

The post holder will manage a delegated clinical caseload and be expected to work without direct supervision.

You will work as a member of the physiotherapy team providing high quality healthcare support, assisting in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care as designated by the physiotherapists. You will provide this care under the direction of the qualified physiotherapists across a variety of community settings.

You will be required to work on your own for periods of time without direct supervision.

You will be required to travel independently to a variety of localities.
