Grounds Operative

Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Perform groundskeeping tasks such as grass mowing, hedge trimming, and clearing leaves and litter to upkeep the appearance of outdoor spaces.
- Maintain shrubs and flowerbeds to enhance the overall aesthetic of the landscape.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate power tools for various landscaping activities.
- Assist in building projects by digging, constructing, and maintaining garden structures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks related to landscape maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols when operating power tools and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for various landscaping tasks.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques for proper watering of plants.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to groundskeeping and landscape maintenance.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £12.18 per hour

Expected hours: 43 per week
