Fg - Jointers Mate - Operations Mgt

Freedom is currently recruiting a Fitters/ Jointers Mate to be part of a team undertaking asset replacement works supporting the upgrade and replacement of substation equipment in a manner that delivers safe, high workmanship quality and fit for purpose networks for our DNO customers, and which promotes the company in a positive light at all times.

The role is based across the Scottish Power patch of Scotland

**Responsibilities**:
**You will**:

- Support with the replacement of plant / equipment along with associated multicores and earthing cables to make a fully operational scheme
- Progress to "Authorised Person" status under our clients DNO Safety Rules, allowing the individual to
- a) have independent access to substations containing live exposed conductors,
- b) to receive a permit to work
- c) to supervise a working party.
- Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas.
- Keep safe and maintain all company property issued, ensure it is routinely PAT or calibration tested and bring to the company’s attention any items that are not of a serviceable nature in a timely manner.
- Installation of containment, cabling, plant and small wiring within a substation environment

**Requirements**:
**You will have**:

- HNC or equivalent electrical experience
- DNO HV fitting experience-Desirably
- Basic operational knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems.
- Site safety passport and/or experience of working on CDM sites.
- Manual Handling
- DNO Authorisations to receive and cancel PTW - Desirable
