We have a Bolton-based specialist provision that requires a long-term cover teacher for PSCHE.
The Bolton based school caters for pupils of secondary age and all have EHCP's which dictate the level of teaching required.
The school has a very pastoral feel with lots of practical classroom setups such as a working car garage, kitchen, and farm. There is an emphasis on animal therapy with lots of pets around for the children to take care of, all housed appropriately of course
The PSCHE teacher will be responsible for a class of approximately 8 pupils and supported by 3 learning mentors and they follow the national curriculum with a view to following the traditional learning pathway or a more vocational one depending on the child.
This Bolton based PSCHE Teacher role would suit someone with a good understanding of KS2 as well as KS3 and 4 as a lot of the children are working below their age level.
Good behaviour management is an advantage, and an ability to be flexible and adpatable to the needs of the children day to day.
You will work with an extremely dedicated team at the school, many of who have been there for several years, so you can be assured of the support and camaradarie that makes the role so fulfilling.
