**WORKING HOURS** - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

**What will you be doing?**

We have an exciting internal opportunity for a Senior Inventory Operator to join our Inventory team where you will have responsibility for the accuracy of Inventory for 120,000 + SKUs and 100 Million + lenses.

You will ensure inventory accuracy, leadership, motivation and teams to ensure customer and service requirements, performance targets and quality standards are fulfilled and when possible exceeded. Specifically you will:

- Monitor, motivate and develop operators performance ensuring that all training (including inductions) is reviewed, documented and administrated and that the shift objectives are achieved within specified time frames.
- Lead, motivate and control the inventory team
- Develop a ‘Can Do’ culture within the shift so all staff have personal ownership for the quality, quantity and efficiency of their work.
- Gather, investigate and analyse data to solve problems that occur including documentation of NCR’s, CAPAR’S and Cause and Effect Instances, maintaining maximum and efficient department output.
- Be involved with all H.R Procedures
- Maintain staff holiday and attendance records, Collating information for pay roll
- Review and control all aspects of the department ensuring compliance with company procedures and where applicable writing / updating SOP’s.
- Inputting ideas and contributions as part of process development and the continuous improvement culture.
- Develop a fully integrated Team Culture
- Provide team briefs to teams
- Promote cost saving actively controlling the departmental budget.
- Balance on a day to day basis labour requirements efficiently, controlling temporary and permanent labour in the most cost effective manner.
- Planning and control of storage of goods to ensure availability of stock to achieve operational targets.
- Manage the introduction of new product and processes effectively, making provision for suitable location set up in relevant systems and physically within the warehouse.
- Produce a full suite of K.P.Is
- Review and be compliant to all Internal Controls.
- Create a Cycle Count Schedule and publish to ensure all SKUs are counted twice in a year. Accurate update cycle count data. Ensuring the timely update of systems with regard to adjustments from cycle counts.
- Oversee system generated cycle counts and monitor through to completion and carry out any audits required.
- Carry out investigations where adjustment quantities exceed the set acceptable limit and feedback results to involved parties
- Ensuring the departmental Service levels regarding count levels are maintained in compliance with organisational requirements.
- Responsible for overseeing the disposal of obsolete / expired product and the associated documentation.
- Liaise with Finance and Auditors
- Competent in the use of VNA Trucks for the purpose of checking any problematic locations
- Demonstrate an awareness regarding the safety requirements of Fork Lift / VNA Trucks and manual handling equipment.
- Promoting and ensuring health & safety in the process of stock movement within the stores location
- Managing Information - Being able to provide timely and accurate updates and projections regarding work forecasts to the Inventory Manager.
- Project management.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies on reconciliation reports.
- Monitor and process when required all interface tables relating to inventory

**What key skills and experience should you have?**

We would ideally like you to have the following:

- Working within a warehouse environment
- Leadership and supervision of a small to medium sized team
- Good working knowledge of in house systems and operations of these systems i.e. BAAN, WMS, JDA, OSR/Knapp, CIMS, GPS, Excel and Word
- Good written and numerical skills
- Problem solving and investigative skills
- Driving performances of people is an essential condition for the success of this role
