MMP Consultancy are seeking 2 x Qualified Disrepair Surveyors for a North London Local Authority. £400 per day LTD (Inside IR35).

Working between office, site and home.

About the role
- Managing a share of the backlog of circa 500 Disrepair cases as part of a team including Damp and Mould cases.
- Take full control of the surveying duties, ensuring the completion of works.
- Autonomy on decisions which are required to ensure quality works.
- Manage tenant engagement and ensure high calibre customer service.
- Receives support from Legal Team with the strategy on how to approach certain cases if court orders are involved.
- Deliver a high-quality customer focused repairs and maintenance service to act as essential technical support to the Repairs and Operations
- Service and across Property Services. This is a lead support function to the Repairs and Operations Managers, North and South, will oversee a range of technical surveying functions.
- Pre and post-condition inspections of works, with focus on quality and cost, including but not limited to checks on asbestos management, CDM regulations and void specification brief(s).
- Undertake and monitor proactively the client responsibilities for all contracts within the posts remit.
- Provide specialist and professional reports, writing specifications, managing disrepair cases, insurance cases, undertaking estate inspections and quality assurance inspections.
- Overseer the delegated Revenue and Capital budgets for the Repair and Maintenance and one off projects. To support the Repairs & Operations Service and across Property Management in an effort to reduce compensation costs associated to legal disrepair

Essential:

- MRICS, MCIOB or Expert Witness qualified.
- Extensive experience in delivering complex/disrepairs service for social housing.
- Understanding of disrepair legislation, Including a sound knowledge of:

- The Landlord and Tenant Act 1985
- Defective premises Act 1972
- Detailed Knowledge and understanding of pre and post-inspection processes, building pathology and repairs techniques.
- Detailed Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities in relation to construction and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.

Title: Disrepair Surveyor

**Salary**: £400 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: North London

Contract: Minimum 6 months (Flexi notice period)

Benefit: Local public transport covered / permits for parking / van use / mileage covered (all expenses require approval and be relevant to business)
