Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-known and established Stevenage based accountancy firm, with superb modern offices, that are eager to appoint an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to complement their thriving accounts department.

Role Requirements
- Supporting a truly diverse portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for undertaking bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns, and management information for clients ensuring deadlines and accounting standards are met.
Reviewing work completed by junior team members
Monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
Liaising with clients directly to resolve queries or obtain further information.
Working closely with Partners and Managers
Developing and maintaining good client relations

Person Requirements
- Ideally qualified by experience although consideration will be given to those that are ACCA or AAT qualified
Ideally, experience in a similar role within a UK based accountancy practice to include solid bookkeeping experience along with practical exposure to management accounting.
Strong IT skills and knowledge of cloud accounting systems in particular Xero and DEXT
