Sports Therapist

An opportunity has arisen for a Sports Therapist to join our well established and highly motivated Occupational Therapy team within mental health inpatient services.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate and keenly motivated to join us. You will be working alongside staff and service users to promote the importance of physical wellbeing, occupation and meaningful activities as part of an individuals recovery journey.

You will be required to assist in the delivery and coordination of a programme of physical health activities for our service users with a verity of mental health conditions intervnetions will range from group and 1:1 input, including a variety of sports and gym sessions. These sessions will take place in our purpose built Gym, across the Inpatient wards and within the local community leisure centres.

The Occupational Therapy team is well structured, with full support and supervision provided through clear line management. Continuing professional development is encouraged and supported with an active in-house education programme in addition to external opportunities.
