**Reporting to**: Operations Manager for Coventry, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire

**About the Role**:We are currently looking for a tutor to join our successful Study Programme and Traineeship Team. Both programmes are tailored to the needs of young people aged 16-18 who are not ready, or able, to directly enter an Apprenticeship, employment, or other post 16 alternative.

The programmes are classroom based, and Workpays are committed to providing a welcoming and motivational learning environment.

This challenging and rewarding role will suit a passionate and engaging tutor with proven experience and/or desire to work with learners between the ages of 16-18.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver Functional Skills, Employability and Essential Digital Skills for the Traineeship Programme
- Deliver Functional Skills, a Vocational qualification, and Pastoral activities for the Study Programme
- Provide a vibrant, welcoming, and motivational classroom environment
- Demonstrate robust classroom management skills
- Produce and/or tailor relevant and motivational teaching materials, undertaking necessary research in order to deliver programmes to fulfil the needs of the learners
- Mark, assess, and provide constructive feedback on learner’s work
- Contribute towards ensuring excellent learner attendance, achievement, and retention rates
- Ensure all administrative procedures are kept up to date prior to, during and after the programme (i.e., keeping a register, marking work, monitoring absence, completing funding documentation) to ensure all compliance and quality procedures and funding requirements are met
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, standardisation meetings, and IQA activity as required

General Responsibilities:

- Maintain an awareness of and actively follow and promote Company policies, including, but not limited to, Safer Recruitment, Data Protection, Information Security, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent
- Undertake any training as required by Company policy and take responsibility for professional development
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
- Teaching qualification (CTLLS, PTLLS, AET, PGCE)
- Previous experience of delivering engaging and meaningful learning activities and training workshops within an employment and skills sector
- Fluent in the English language
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High-level communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- IT proficient with an ability to use Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint

Desirable experience, knowledge, and skills:

- Experience of NEET programme delivery and developing NEET resources
- Experience meeting challenging contractual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
- Knowledge and understanding of the local labour market, sector skills gaps, local employment and skills provision, specialist support networks, and education and training providers
