**Peabody**has an exciting opportunity for a **Housing Support Worker** on a **full-time, permanent** **basis**based in**Islington. **In return you will receive a competitive salary of **£23,846 per annum.**

**About the Housing Support Worker role**:
As a **Housing Support Worker,** you will be supporting and enabling vulnerable people to sustain a tenancy living within the community through providing practical and emotional support to encourage tenants to take an active part in the community_._

You will work on a rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays with shifts ranging from: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm and 2pm-10pm.

The service covers 3 sites in Islington.

**What we're looking for in our Housing Support Worker**:

- A good understanding of mental health and trauma informed care, either through work or life experience
- Passionate about supporting people to improve their lives
- You will be reliable, motivational and creative
- You will have thorough and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety issues, welfare benefits and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
- A great communicator

**What you can expect to be doing as our Housing Support Worker**:

- _S_upporting adults who have experienced homelessness to achieve their goals through person centred support
- Working with the team in supporting customers to achieve their goals and step down or move on from the services
- Managing your own caseload, update internal systems, complete risk/need assessments and supporting customers to attend meetings
- Communicating with external services and internal teams, following up on actions, completing incident reports, raising safeguarding cases and supporting customers with daily living tasks and tenancy management
- Monitoring Health & Safety, repairs and tasks related to assessing new referrals to the service
- _This role will require an Enhanced DBS check and the confidence, once inducted, to lone work.
