Holiday Camps Gymnastics and Multisports Coach

As a Gymnastics and Multisports Coach, you will be leading and assisting in our gymnastics and multisports holiday camp in Guildford.

Holiday Camps run in the school holidays Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.

This will involve leading fun warm up games, engaging the children in different types of gymnastics and multisports, including artistic, rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics, and a variety of sports such as football, basketball, tennis and tag rugby, throughout the day. Supervising break and lunchtimes.

**Role and Responsibilities**

This is a self-employed position.

As a Holiday Camps Gymnastics and Multisports coach, you will be responsible for a group of up to 15 children of similar ages to coach gymnastics at an introductory and intermediate level, and multisports.

The gymnastics element will involve developing flexibility, strength, and coordination, teaching children floor skills such as rolls, jumps, balances, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings and more. There will be floor routines with connective elements work and mastering skills on limited gymnastic apparatus such as vaults.

Key responsibilities include:

- Bringing energy and enthusiasm to every session.
- Being professional in your interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and schools.
- Being on time for all sessions
- Assisting with the safe set up and packing away of equipment, ensuring all equipment is stored safely.
- Teaching relevant skills, progressions, and techniques
- Talking with parents about the progress of their children, when necessary
- Making sure health and safety procedures are being followed
- Being familiar with and following all club policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:
Coaches with British Gymnastics Qualifications Level 1, 2 or higher will be preferred

17 years old minimum (dependent on qualifications)

Enhanced DBS - this can be done in the joining process.

First Aid Certificate (or willing to attend course)

Reliable & Punctual

Good communication skills

Enjoys working with children

You must be eligible to work in the UK

You must be able to speak English fluently

You must be currently living within a commutable distance of this position.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £58.00-£103.00 per day

Expected hours: 27 - 36 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 02/04/2024
