Licensing Officer

The Council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our Licensing Team who cares about the communities of Amber Valley. Located in the ‘Heart of Derbyshire’ with a borough comprising of quiet villages, market towns and excellent transport links, Amber Valley is set in beautiful countryside with the Derwent Mills world heritage site adding to the charm of Amber Valley.

If you are interested in joining our small but busy team to help us support our communities, then you will be well received at Amber Valley. We are looking for someone who cares about the safety of our communities and may have experience of regulatory services.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, IT skills and the ability to organise and prioritise your own work. A knowledge and experience of local government licensing, and of working in a regulatory service would be beneficial to this role, however training will be provided_._ You will also need to be flexible in your approach to work as occasionally you will be expected to get involved with enforcement activities which may involve work outside of normal office hours.
