History Hit is the UK’s biggest digital history brand across podcasts, Video on Demand, social media and the web, with more than 100,000 subscribers to its TV and audio networks. Its podcast network, including Dan Snow’s History Hit, has millions of listens each month.

As a Platform Editor, you will work across social platforms, managing a number of projects simultaneously with projects consisting of various create formats including short form, long form, multicam on location or single cam studio with graphics.

**HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME**
- Multiple edits - Manage a number of projects simultaneously with projects consisting of various create formats including: Short form, long form, multicam on location or single cam studio with graphics.
- Work closely with Producers and Junior Editors to ensure deadlines are kept, issues are flagged early and any learnings/ knowledge can be applied to future projects
- Liaise with Producers to help the running of the YouTube schedule and help ensure any opportunities - editorial or technical - are identified and acted upon
- Create films and social content and promos to a high standard
- Work on your own formats in an established team of four consisting of two junior editors, one AP and a Senior Producer. Working closely with SVOD to help maximise opportunities and sharing of resources and material.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED**

Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
- Experience of working in video production in a similar role
- Experienced Editor working across content for YouTube and other social platforms
- Experience working in both short and long form and knowledge of different specifics for variety of social platforms
- Confident animator with experience using both photoshop & aftereffects and knowledge of software including midjourney, elevenlabs & unreal engine
- Ability to deliver a project from receiving and organising rushes including syncing through to grading and final delivery
- Comfortable working on multiple projects at one time.
- Knowledge of music, SFX, animation & archive libraries, along with asset management
- Understanding of Adobe packages and grading software like Resolve
- Desire to learn and take on feedback
- Excellent time keeping and ability to stick to deadlines
- Good people skills
- A passion and interest in history
