**Position title: Regulatory and Supply Chain Support**

**Reporting to: Regulatory and Responsible Care Lead**

**Primary Objectives**:
The Chemical Business Association is seeking a person for the role of ‘Regulatory and Supply Chain

Support’ to help support and deliver its expanding portfolio of core services to member companies, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and communication to ensure the best possible membership experience.

Regulatory and Supply Chain Support role is a new full-time post which is part of our long-term strategy.

Reporting to the Regulatory and Responsible Care Lead, you will join a small, professional team and be expected to travel occasionally within the UK.

Based at our modern offices and conference centre in Crewe, Cheshire, the position offers an attractive remuneration package, pension, health cover, car allowance, plus excellent working conditions.

Familiarity with Responsible Care, the industry programme promoting higher standards of health, safety, security, and environmental management, is also desirable.

As Regulatory and Supply Chain Support, you will primarily be responsible for supporting our Core

The role will also include providing administrative support where necessary and requires the ability to work on your own initiative and problem solve, as well as with others in order to deliver the overall strategic objectives of the Association. Excellent communication, inter-personal and presentation skills are also important.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Promptly deal with and support the team in answering questions submitted by members.
- Participate in relevant committee meetings, forums and other meetings as required.
- Work with other organisations and stakeholders as and when required, including

Government and the media.
- Work with the team to determine, design, and deliver workshops, training, or presentations, both virtually and on-site.
- Assist and participate in other workshops, seminars, and events, including exhibitions and our Annual Lunch as required.
- Ensure all correspondence and telephone queries are dealt with in a timely manner, and provide reports on performance, as required.
- Support internal and external communications activities. Specifically collating the monthly technical member magazine.
- Provide support on the delivery of the Responsible Care programme for the Association.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and operation of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient support and communications to members and other applicable parties.
- Create and undertake membership surveys as deemed appropriate to gather data pertinent to member business activities which may be used to highlight specific issues or trends.

**General**

Contribute to the achievement of business objectives in combination with colleagues and members.

Support and actively contribute and participate with the rest of the team to help develop and implement the associations policies and strategies along with taking part in other activities and initiatives linked to diversity and inclusion, climate change and sustainability.

As and when necessary, liaise and work with other organisations and stakeholders in support of the wider Association’s objectives.

Provide information, for example in briefings or articles for Members, including our online publications such as Outlook or Update.

**Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes**
- Minimum A' level or equivalent (Work experience will be balanced against level of education)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills and a desire to show initiative.
- Ability to be agile in changing situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.
- A great dynamic team player.
- Methodical, conscientious, and thorough approach to work.
- Problem solving skills to resolve member complaints/support enquiries.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

It is recognised that some training may be required, and this will be provided where necessary, and a programme of continuous improvement development is also in place for employees.
