Yard Operative

**YARD OPERATIVE**

Ranskill Hire Ltd are looking for someone to join us and help support our team to maintain & check all our equipment on our hire fleet ready for hire. We are suppliers of agricultural, horticultural, forestry & plant machinery based in Ranskill, near Retford, Nottinghamshire.

The job role has the following requirements:

- General housekeeping, ensuring the yard is kept tidy
- Cleaning down of machinery inside & out
- Checking up machinery prior to hire
- Assisting other employees with their tasks
- Assisting customers when coming to collect machinery
- A small amount of basic mechanical knowledge

The role is predominantly yard based but there may be occasions where you will be required to go out to customers if needed.

About you:

- A valid UK driving licence is required
- Must be trustworthy and honest
- Have an organised and focused approach to tasks
- Happy to work indoors or outdoors
- Work well on your own or as part of a team
- Good time keeping is essential

This role would be best suited to someone who likes a varied working day.

Job specifics
- Basic hours 7am - 4pm Mon to Fri (a possibility of overtime during the week may be required).
- No weekends or night work.
- This is a full time, permanent vacancy.
- Based at our yard in Ranskill, near Retford.
- Company pension offered.
- Starting Salary £10.75/hr
- Start date - ASAP
