Manage the reception area, ensuring that it is always welcoming

and tidy.
- Undertake reception duties and manage enquiries.
- Ensure all visitors and external professionals are signed in and out

appropriately, checking their DBS status if required.
- Sign in and out all pupils arriving or leaving school outside of

normal registration. Make sure that children/families use the school

gate entrances at the start and end of the school day.
- Take responsibility for answering telephone calls promptly, deal

with queries, take messages or transfer calls.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and ensure external mail is

prepared for posting at the end of each day.
- Make appointments for the Headteacher and other members of

staff, as appropriate, and maintain the school diary.
- Type and send out correspondence on behalf of the school such

as year group letters, letters regarding visits, swimming and

appointments.
- Assist in the distribution of information to parents, pupils, PSA and

Governors
- Order paper, toner and other equipment liaising with the service

company to ensure issues are actioned promptly.
- Maintain an efficient system for managing lost property, including

returning named items, store unnamed items tidily and keep these

to a minimum.
- Ensure that school dinner numbers are accurately reported to the

kitchen daily.
- Arrange hospitality for visitors and assist in setting up rooms for

school such as parent curriculum meeting events, INSET training

days and open afternoons and mornings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £8.80 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Richmond: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)
