**Main Purpose of Role**:
ES Global are experts in the provision of bespoke, temporary structures, event overlay and staging events, with substantial projects taking place across the music, sports, cultural, and public sector markets both in the UK and globally.
As a project planner you will be responsible for the day-day planning requirements for your assigned project, reporting to the head of planning.
ESG Requires a Project Planner to lead the management of programmes and associated planning documents for active & bidding projects working closely with the Head of Planning, Assistant Planners, Project Manager’s, ESG Design Team, Project Coordinators and Clients with the programming and planning of design, procurement, installation, maintenance and removal phases of their assigned project.
**What you will be doing**
**DESIGN**
- Lead the production of the design programme ensuring the programme correctly reflects the required activities.
- Ensure all sub-contractor design programmes are incorporated and aligned to the overall master programme.
- Ensure the design team are aware of the key design submissions & milestones
- Work closely with the design team to ensure that they are aware of upcoming activities and any slippages
- Attend key design meetings to ensure a full understanding of the design process.
- Track & report on key design submissions and local authority approval submissions.
- Ensure the master programme correctly reflects local authority submission requirements
- Ensure the design programme aligns with the procurement programme in terms of release of design information.
**PROCUREMENT**
- Develop & maintain the procurement programme ensuring it reflects the relevant works packages identified in the cost plan.
- Ensure that all sub-contractor procurement activities are programmed and aligned to the master programme
- Work with the project team to ensure they are aware upcoming activities and that any slippages are flagged.
- Identify critical order dates for the work packages, such as contractor appointments.
- Ensure the procurement programme correctly reflects the required activities to ensure it aligns with the organisations procurement strategy.
- Develop the procurement summary and issue it on a regular basis to inform the team on progress.
**CONSTRUCTION**
- Work closely with the project team and construction managers to produce a fully detailed construction programme based on the latest design & cost information available.
- Produce visual sequencing packs to communicate the programme to the wider project team.
- Ensure the construction programme reflects all the relevant works packages being procured.
- Integration of sub-contractor build programmes and the analysis of these.
- Preparation of progress reports, reflecting build progress and identifying area of slippage.
- Ensure the master construction programme is kept up to date to reflect as “as-built” programme.
- Develop the operation and maintenance programme in-line with contractual requirements.
**General**
- Lead the preparation of all programmes for acceptance & accompanying documentation in-line with the project’s contractual requirements;
- Lead the management of the project risk register ensuring all identified risks have assigned mitigation strategies.
**The Skills and experience you need**
- Use of specialist planning software Asta is **required**; 4D sequencing experience (desirable)
- Experience with Time Rik Allowances, delay analysis & risk management
- Experience with Microsoft Visio or other visual planning software (timelines, org charts etc)
- Strong Planning experience gained in a live construction site environment;
- Preconstruction experience;
- Detailed knowledge of the key features of common forms of contract entered in UK (NEC experience is **required**);
- Hands-on planning mindset with determination and passion for identifying problems before they are realised to deliver the best possible outcome;
- Ability to think critically and methodically;
- Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently;
- Strong record keeping skills and data driven attitude with project controls experience;
- Demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of development; design, procurement, construction (structure, architecture, services), commissioning;
- Can quickly and clearly articulate key issues and listen and capture concerns of others
