Corporate Consolidation and Close Accountant

The Corporate Consolidation & Finance Operations Accountant reports to the Operational Accounting Director and supports the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the Group. They are an experienced accounting professional capable of managingmultiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organization. They are highly analytical, have an excellent attention to detail, able to multi-task with competing priorities, and skilled at creating and improving reporting processes as well asincorporating and implementing internal financial controls. They will adapt quickly to change and will champion the advancement of policies, procedures, and controls that will enhance the finance function at Mundipharma.

MONTH-END CONSOLIDATION
- Delivery of monthly consolidation derived from 100+ entities in accordance with US GAAP in line with corporate deadlines_
- Understanding, analyzing and posting monthly consolidation journals
- Setting up, tracking and facilitating status calls throughout month-end close with various stakeholders (e.g., local, regional, central teams)
- Communicate and liaise with various teams regarding progress/status of month-end close (e.g. management reporting team, cash flow team, etc.) to ensure alignment and delivery of timely financials
- Summarizing intercompany mismatches and leading calls with relevant teams to spearhead clearing of mismatches
- Work closely with Corporate Finance Systems team to address any reporting system issues during month-end close process
- Updating / maintain communication channels regarding the consolidation process (e.g. intranet, Teams chats, etc.)
- Data gathering and drafting KPI slides to be presented management

OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTING SUPPORT
- Key point of contact for queries and requests related to the Operational Accounting function_
- Manage and respond to queries / requests via Operational Accounting mailbox in a timely basis
- Assist with minority interest reporting, reporting integration of newly acquired companies, intangible assets impairment review, etc.
- Proactively adjust financial reports in compliance with upcoming regulation requirements or pending changes to current law
- Facilitating Group audit and providing support to audit requests and queries during annual external audits
- Fulfil regulation requirements for the Group

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Developing and implementing best practice processes and systems across the Group_
- Perform continuous assessment of the consolidation close process and implement controls to improve consistency and accuracy of the reported results
- Partake in system UAT testing for any change requests made to improve or implement systematic controls

AD HOC REQUESTS
- Supporting the wider Controlling team's delivery requirements including ad hoc project work required. An important element of the role is coordinating different stakeholders within Business units in the Group_
