We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist / Administrator to join our enthusiastic, approachable and friendly Reception team at VetPartners.
Established in November 2015, VetPartners is made up of some of the UK’s most respected and trusted small animal, equine, mixed and farm practices. Led by vets, we have 200 veterinary practices, with 11,000 employees working in around 800 sites across the UK, Europe and from our central support office in York. VetPartners aims to be a great place to work, focusing on the development and wellbeing of its people.
**Day to day tasks**:
- Answering the phone and directing callers appropriately
- Greeting visitors and staff
- Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
- Providing support to several disciplines within the business where required,
- Performing general office duties, such as ordering office stationery/stock taking of stationery, maintaining records management database
- Managing meeting room bookings
- Maintaining storage of confidential corporate documentation
- Supporting other areas of the business as required
- General office duties as required
This is a part time role covering Monday 07:30-17:00 and Tuesday to Friday 07:30-14:00 with flexibility to cover for our other receptionist if required.

- Strong administration skills
- Professional, friendly and a ‘can do attitude’
- Excellent telephone skills
- Well educated to GCSE or A Level equivalent (to include English)
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage your time effectively
- Capable of using your own initiative
- Proficient in setting up your own processes
- Communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Trustworthy, flexible, confidential
- Always remain professional and maintain a smart appearance
