Electrical Design Engineer - Training in Solar PV

Do you have previous experience in Electrical Engineering and want to develop your career further by entering into a specialised Design position focusing on large scale Renewable Energy projects with a growing company that is making a name for themselves inthe sector?
This long-established company has earned a positive reputation as a leading turnkey provider of Biomass, Steam, CHP and Waste-to-Energy systems for a number of clients ranging from District Heating associations to industrial centres and racetracks. They arenow beginning to grow a division of the business focusing on Solar PV projects and have already had a significant amount of interest in this from potential and existing clients, and in line with this they are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who theycan train into Solar PV to help support their ongoing work.
In this role you will be responsible for the design of Solar PV systems to meet customer requirements by using CAD software such as PVsyst and PV*SOL. You will be working closely alongside both the upper management team and the installations team to providesupport where needed throughout the design and installation phases of projects.

The role:

- Undertaking training in Solar design software such as PVsyst and PV*SOL
- Producing CAD drawings and electrical designs for Solar PV systems
- Liaising with customers to ensure requirements are understood and addressed
- Supporting with budgeting and pricing of Solar projects
- Travelling to customer sites where necessary
The person:

- Educated to at least HNC/HND Level in Electrical Engineering
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
- Previous experience in carrying out electrical designs at the commercial or industrial level
- Knowledge of or previous experience with Renewable Energy systems (advantageous)
- Full UK driving license
