Job Overview:
**PARISH ADMINISTRATOR **(Part-time) required to work in the Parish Office serving the Church of St Thomas, Southborough, Tunbridge Wells and based in the adjacent Church Hall.
**9 hours per week, preferably 3hrs on 3 days SALARY £7,956 p.a. (£30,940 f.t.e)**
The administrator is a key role which enables the smooth running of important activities within our parish. Experience of using a variety of IT packages, including word processing and spreadsheets is essential. You will need to demonstrate good secretarial, administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team. The role holder’s responsibilities span regular weekly preparation for services and extend to include wider outreach ventures within the parish, the website and social media. The role brings with it the opportunity to modernise processes by digitising aspects of the deliverables within the role. It needs to be undertaken in a way that promotes the Church as a place of welcome within the community. Familiarity with Church of England practice preferred

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and organizing documents
- Manage office supplies and equipment
- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings
- Utilize QuickBooks for basic financial tasks
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain an organized filing system both physically and electronically
- Support staff with administrative tasks as needed

Essential Qualifications:

- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Xero for basic financial tasks
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with office equipment and computerized systems
- Strong phone etiquette and people skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £7,956.00 per year

Expected hours: 09 per week

Schedule:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 2 years (required)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
