Elevation are working with a global, multi-billion turnover business who are searching for a Buyer to join their head office in Doncaster. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in providing a commodity strategy and purchasing service to internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities include defining, negotiating, and implementing strategies at the part, commodity, or service level. Additionally, you will be involved in New Product Introduction (NPI) and FAI clearance/conformity, leading initiatives for annual price/cost reduction and working capital. Your role also entails the development of strategic suppliers to maintain a competitive marketplace.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver a commodity strategy and purchasing service, assuming accountability for allocated products, commodities, or vendors
- Be the liaison between the Engineering team, suppliers, and the client
- Understand Engineering drawings
- Define, negotiate, and execute strategies at the part, commodity, or service level
- Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) and FAI clearance/conformity
- Lead annual price/cost reduction and working capital initiatives
- Develop strategic suppliers to uphold a competitive marketplace
- Manage key supplier relationships at a managerial level to safeguard organizational interests
- Collaborate with the wider Supply Chain group to address supplier relationship/escalation issues
- Contribute to cross-functional teams supporting Commercial Bid proposals and business initiatives
- Establish structured and regular Quality, Cost, and Delivery reviews with suppliers to present performance results and drive improvement plans

**Required Experience**:

- Background in purchasing, procurement, or supplier management
- Proven track record of successful collaboration with various suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to utilise creative and effective procurement strategies while maintaining supplier relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Meticulous attention to detail in procurement-related documents, contracts, and reports
- Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic

**Additional Information**:

- Salary: £35,000
- Doncaster (On-site)
- Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 16:30pm, and Friday 08:00am to 13:00pm
- Permanent, Full-Time
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
