This is an exciting opportunity to work for a specialist motorsport and vehicle builder as part of an enthusiastic team as a Senior Machining Technician.

Using your high levels of Turning and Milling abilities, you will produce parts to high specifications and tight tolerances, providing continual feedback to the Lead Machinist. Defining your own methods and approaches, including jigging / fixtures as wellas using CAD to produce programmes as required, in turn setting and then running machines to deliver a finished part.

The results of your work will be used to build modern concept vehicles, custom classic rebuilds for the elite, to one off "off the wall" projects like placing an oversized super charged engine into a family vehicle then fitting a killer sound system to it

**As Senior Machining Technician you will be required to**:

- Regularly manufacture turned / milled components fully to design specifications.
- Follow defined machinery service and maintenance schedules, pro-actively highlighting any failures.
- Assist Budget generation and be aware of its content, structure and ERP system approach.
- Deliver solutions to problems posed with little need for support or guidance within set boundaries.
- Pro-actively support the continuous improvement approach of the department, encouraging others
- Be highly aware and respectful of skills, responsibilities and process in other areas.
- Be aware of, respect and propagate department Work Instructions and Risk Assessments.
- Collate and escalate as required detail in relation to design and BOM accuracy.
- Support the Lead machining Technician deliver a safe, efficient, clean and tidy workplace at all times.

**As Senior Machining Technician you will have the following experience / qualifications**:

- Practical Machining training (C&G or similar recognised qualification).
- 2+ years' experience in a machining background.
- Capacity and time planning / Workload management experience.
- Engineering qualification / experience (interpretation of engineering design / drawing / models).
- Ability to take on individual projects or packages of work, considering scheduling and feedback.
- 1+ years CAD CAM experience or industry recognised training.
- Inspection and Metrology experience.
- Materials knowledge supporting machining understanding.
