Plastic Injection Moulding Setter/operator

A vacancy has arisen for a Plastic Injection Moulding Setter Operator at Fisco Tools Limited, a UK manufacturer of measuring tapes based in Rayleigh, Essex.

Fisco Tools are part of the Hultafors Group, a Swedish company which includes Snickers Workwear, Hultafors Hand Tools and Wibe Ladders.

As Plastic Injection Moulding Setter Operator your duties will include: -- Setting moulding machines as per the setting sheet.
- Carrying out tool changes.
- Adjusting machine parameters as necessary to maintain production.
- Trouble shooting moulding issues.
- Identifying tooling issues.
- Ensure efficient running of equipment.
- Completion of quality checks in accordance with company procedures.
- Working as part of a team to ensure production requirements are met within the department on time.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities working with lean manufacturing principles.
- Be capable of setting machines, carrying out tool changes, identifying and trouble-shooting moulding issues, and have a good knowledge of polymers
- Be self-motivated and work using own initiative.
Hours: 08:00am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday (40 hour week). Overtime and shift working oportunities exist once running equipment unaided/unsupervised can be demonstrated.

30 mins lunch (12:30pm to 13:00pm)
