Hospice Call Handler

**About the role**

We are seeking to recruit a telephone call handler to help support the team who look after telephone calls into the Hospice. The call handler team are supported by our brilliant Registered Nurses and are the voice of Oakhaven. Call handlers support patients, families, and other health care professionals by providing a friendly, knowledgeable, professional voice on the phone when someone calls in to the Hospice.

**Your day will involve**
- Answering calls and responding appropriately to the needs of the caller.
- Work with the Community Registered Nurse team signposting callers and liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies to help coordinate care in the best way.
- Logging calls onto our clinical IT system.
- Report writing and other general administration duties as required.

**Hours**

This role is to help flexibly, so we need someone who can support us in times of absences and busy periods. We are looking for someone we can call on for either planned times throughout the year or at short notice.
