Digicon Operator

The perfect candiate for this role will be responsible for the operation of an ABG Digicon machine designed for the purposes of unwinding, printing, laminating, foil blocking and die cutting.

Responsibilities of a Digicon Operator:

- Ensuring productivity while minimising waste and maximising output by monitoring the converting process.
- Recognising output problems. and implementing the appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor and inspect digitally printed products for conformance to specifications using defined methods and equipment before releasing.
- Operate equipment at required speed to ensure proper alignment and regsitration.
- Remove printed materials from machine and transport them to storage or finishing areas.
- Ensure the work conducted within the production area is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Skills & Experience required for a Digicon Operator:

- Ideally suited to a highly skilled, fast working and analytical Flexo printer with experience in the following:
> High quality printing
> Over lamination
> Cold Foil
> Hot Foil
> Different carnishing techniques
> Peel and Read production
- Ability to monitor processes, materials, and equipment, as well as judge quality through inspection.
- Good time management, planning/organisation, and decision making.
- 4+ years relevant experience in printing preferred
- Excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

The shift pattern for this position are on a rotational basis, Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm

The salary for this role is £26,500 - £28,500 (depending on experience)
