**How you'll make a difference**:

Come and join our team as a Barista in the coffee lounge at Badminton Road. You will make a real difference with your friendly and approachable personality serving your colleagues at Badminton Road offices with beverages and light snacks. You'll enjoy the fast-paced environment offering a high level of customer service.

The coffee lounge will be open 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) 8.30am to 3.30pm, this position is being offered as a casual contract covering ad-hoc shifts.

**What will you be doing?**

Your duties will sometimes include either the opening and closing for each shift including clean down of all customer areas- You will welcome and greet customers and providing excellent customer service, whilst constantly striving to improve customer relations
Daily you’ll prepare beverages and light food products and ensure all displays are well stocked and replenished to maintain and anticipate customers’ needs. On occasions, you will be required to prepare, deliver and present buffet food to functions and meetings.
You will be required to operate a till, including collecting and processing customer payments for cash, credit and debit cards
You’ll be able to listen to customer issues or complaints, dealing with any concerns in an efficient yet friendly manner and report to the manager / shift supervisor on duty without delay
You will keep work surfaces clean and follow cleaning schedules, including the deep cleaning of machinery where required. You will also be required to complying with health, safety and hygiene guidelines.
- You will be required to undertake stock checks and other duties such as checking equipment and reporting defects or problems to ensuring as part of the team delivering a smooth-running service.

**What we need from you**:

- You should have previous experience in a similar catering role, or be willing and able to undertake basic training- You will require practical skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to learn to use basic tools and equipment such as coffee machines and tills.
You’ll be able and willing to follow basic processes and procedures to ensure the job is carried out safely
Ideally you will have NVQ1 qualification in Barista experience or equivalent qualification or equivalent barista experience
- Having a foundation certificate in food hygiene, would be beneficial
