**Warehouse Operative**

**Warehouse Operative Job Purpose/ Role**:
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for assisting the smooth operations of the warehouse; this involves shipping, processing and receiving. To include (but not limited to) unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, relocating, and stacking product.

**Warehouse Operative Duties & Responsibilities**
- Comply with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Receive inbound materials and mark materials with identifying information
- Record amount of material received
- Sort materials and stock on racking, shelves or bins in accordance with predetermined sequence based on size, colour, type, Batch, Best Before Date or product code
- Arrange materials for order assembly
- Follow production schedules, order forms (customer, work, and/or shipping), works orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Convey materials within the warehouse to appropriate department (shipping, production and/or storage), in accordance with schedule and operating procedures
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or production line as required.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places on pallets/Racking
- Operate MHE safely and within standard operational practices.
- Housekeeping duties as required
- Be proactive in ensuring the integrity of the food safety and food quality system are maintained
- Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
- Comply with the company’s requirement for the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Maintain high levels of personal hygiene
- Ability to work any shift preferred
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor

**Warehouse Operative Requirements & Skills**

Flexi/ Counterbalance/ VNA licence (within 3 years of last refresher); must be willing to work any shift assigned; 2 years warehousing experience desirable; the ability to work any shift is required; ability to communicate effectively, with fluency in English preferred; good verbal communication; team player; self-starter; adaptable to change; ability to prioritise needs.

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 4-5 months

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
